Twenty years from now, the only people who will remember if you worked late are your kids.

Wym?
💯
2012 was the last time I did that. After that company I said never again and never did.
Damn that's brutal.
A wiseman once said:
"buy back your time as soon as you can"
This is why I resist working longer than 8 or so hours in a day. Sometimes I need to work longer due to the nature of the work need. It’s been a strategy that has worked reasonably well for me. Not everyone in every industry will be able to do so. I work as a coder, system administrator, and I’m moving into cybersecurity at my company. There’s no shortage of work, but there is a shortage in the number of days that my kids will stay young and think I’m still cool and funny. Some of them have aged out already and don’t think my jokes are funny any more. :-)
GOD, FAMILY, HEALTH
That's it. Simple...not necessarily easy.

Easy workaround: get up for work at 3AM, work 12-14 hours, and come home at a "normal" time.
Yeah when they are spending all that sweet overtime pay I put into Bitcoin 😁
