I keep getting sent Charlie Kirk videos. They all hit me.

He was a more courageous version of most of us. He has two small kids. And he was assassinated for the beliefs that used to be commonplace in this country.

It feels like a switch has been flipped.

If this union is to survive, the next 3 years will determine it.

It’s been a tough week here in my household between my wife and me, not because we’re fighting with each other, but because we’re fighting back tears. We’ve never met Charlie, but we realize what he brought to the world and it’s such a loss. Our young people needed him. We needed him. His family needs him. He was a significant part of the fight against the tyranny and darkness befalling our world, and he was so effective at it. He was so humble and knowledgeable in ways I wish I could be. How he did it, I don’t know, but I do know that we’ll miss him.

Well said. One of the many things I appreciated about Charlie was his admission of the role his faith played in that battle. Ultimately that cosmic battle is won. We need to remember that.

World needs more heart, less brain.

If you’re a husband, father, and God seeking your ACTIONS are out of love - what better first principles to begin measuring a man’s character?

Opinions and beliefs are so trivial when it comes to measuring character - they’re fiat, the application layer, they come and go and evolve over time, “talk is cheap”, and they don’t define you.

Your heart and your soul and your actions define you.
