It’s been a tough week here in my household between my wife and me, not because we’re fighting with each other, but because we’re fighting back tears. We’ve never met Charlie, but we realize what he brought to the world and it’s such a loss. Our young people needed him. We needed him. His family needs him. He was a significant part of the fight against the tyranny and darkness befalling our world, and he was so effective at it. He was so humble and knowledgeable in ways I wish I could be. How he did it, I don’t know, but I do know that we’ll miss him.
Well said. One of the many things I appreciated about Charlie was his admission of the role his faith played in that battle. Ultimately that cosmic battle is won. We need to remember that.
