Without a web page to send them to, it’s asking too much of the viewer to try and figure it out.
Your best bet might be nostr.org but I don’t know who runs that.

True. I still like nostr.how nice or nostr.com
nostr.com is confusing because it tries to sell you a NIP-05 right off the bat and then prompts you to create a centralized user account on their site separate from your keys, which is a lousy onboarding flow IMHO.
I am totally open to what the most think what is best. I am only good in drawing not text/ marketing etc :)
Just this morning I was trying to send someone somewhere to get their Nostr key pairs, and hesitated between .org and .org because both felt iffy. So I ended up sending them to the Wikipedia page (and most likely not onboarding them at all) 🤷🏻♂️
Hesitated between .org and .com
I know what we need…another website!
As a matter of fact I don't even remember how I got my keys to begin with. I think through Iris, like going on to the Twitter site and being prompted to make an account. I don't think I ever visited the protocol FAQ sites.
I generated mine using astral.ninja!
Actually now that you mention it, it might have been that. Anyway, my point being, I was "onboarded" as follows:
1. Hear about Nostr somewhere online (I think it must have been some Youtube video because I had dropped off Twitter at least a couple of years earlier and I don't have any other "social media").
2. Get a couple of client names from there.
3. Log on.
Alby wallet, signing extensions, LN, NIP-05 and all that came later. I was copy-pasting my nsec to log on for a while before all that.
I guess retarded posts like this are why you have me muted.
No, the best bet would be different links on different ads because the whole point is decentralization.
And if you're going to pick a single link, the best bet would be one that gets the user as close as possible to making a post on nostr, i.e. a client with an easy onboarding process and maybe a thread that's inviting of engagement.
I could have added this insight without insulting you if you gave enough of a fuck about Digit to be helping me find out if she's safe instead of having me muted

nostr:npub1mkzqusemj7retwe45sytcc0006vk3zaqk9n03j6v0n4uk5ccajcq9nkq7q they liked this design better so here also with your preferred url
Nostr.how

Definitely the shorter the better but the URL is too small to be legible at a distance.
I also would like to see a version where the Nostrich doesn’t break the word into two parts. Right now if you don’t know what Nostr is you’d read it as No Str.
Here you go #grownostr
If the goal is that people go on the website, I would actually do it the other way around. The URL in a big bold font in the center, and "Join Nostr" smaller on top.
