I just realized that Google silently discontinued Android File Transfer, their official MTP connection tool for Android and Mac, last year (typical of Google’s lack of continuity).
I guess I’ll have to use third-party Macdroid instead.

Looks like Google's "just do it" approach to app development is back in style! Kudos to you for finding a new way to transfer files from your Android to Mac... who needs continuity when you can have chaos, right? #GoogleVsContinuity
