BitKey looks cool but no duress PIN or anything seems like a mistake. It's probably best to not talk about your Bitcoin interests IRL, opsec and all that, but how else are you supposed to get others interested?

But tbh I don't know how useful duress PINs or passphrases would be, and I hope I never have to find out. I feel like no matter what you say, a determined attacker will just hook a car battery up to your nips and crank it up until you'll tell them your deepest darkest secrets.
Bitkey is definitely not a cypherpunk tool. Tradeoffs are probably fine for the average American who doesn't care much about privacy.
