Uptime and response times are not great for any of the LibreTranslate servers. Argostech works for me at the moment, though. The others don’t seem to be. They’re free servers hosted by randoms so I don’t expect much from them. Unless we want to spin up our own dedicated high performance server or find a better server, I don’t expect the situation to improve.
I’m going to add ChatGPT translation support as a third option to Damus.

It’s not accurate at all. LibreTranslate doesn’t work well. I heard that, but I don’t have DeepL yet.
It seems hard for LibreTranslate to translate Chinese accurately.
Yeah, it needs premium token for DeepL. I have seen awayuki (Japanese Nostr user) tried that
I have the DeepL api key but for some reason it’s not working.
