One side of effect of controlling money is that government can run wild and prosecute and imprison as many people as it wants with no concern for cost.

A sound money budget would limit government to prosecuting only the most important things (murder, theft, etc - you know, legitimate stuff).

An unlimited budget for government negates the entire concept of rights and justice because we don't have the same ability. Government can just buy whatever it wants whether citizens agree or not.

This is where government becomes ruler of the People rather than government for and by the People.
