The speed of light is not a constant. Photons travel.

But do they have to travel?

Nothing exists without movement.

Helium aside, nothing has movement at -273 deg C

Bose Einstein condensate moves, at that temperature.

Photons don’t experience time, it’s not really travelling if it doesn’t take any time

according to the theory of #quantumphysics, light can exist in a state of "superposition," where it can be in multiple places at once until it is measured.

this means that #light can exist in a state where it is not traveling at all, but rather in a state of potentiality…

Yes, superposition is incredibly strange 😱

Nothing makes sense in the quantum realm.

We can’t understand it because we have no frame of reference.

It’s like trying to explain light to somebody blind from birth.

mind-boggling indeed!

Reminds me of "closed" vs "expanded" dimensions in string theory.

If a photon travels along a closed dimension that ends where it begins, did it "ever" really "travel"?
