Who told you it’s not open source? And who said it was “illegal?” The state? Privacy is a human right.

Legality is determined by the state, correct. I also agree privacy is a human right. Im simply asking why there was even a CEO to blame? If the software was truly open source and decentralized nobody needed to be the boss of it.

the answer is bad opsec or the believe that you could run a multi-billion transmitting business from within the US and get away with it.

Their coordination process for Whirlpool is centralized. When I found this out I figured it'd draw attention eventually
