Yep, that's the plan. May even put together the squat rack that's been in pieces collecting dust since I moved. Not sure the unairconditioned, uninsulated garage is a good place to work out, though.

In thinking about it more, I think it's having to duck under waist-high wires (and sometimes having to lean back while doing it, because of the straps attaching me to some of those wires) that did it. I probably did it at least 100 times. No way I could do 100 bodyweight squats without similar burning.

I don't believe in going straight to machines and weights. 80% of fitness can be accomplished with bodyweight. Also, resistance bands are much safer and builds muscle much faster ala https://www.jaquishbiomedical.com/x3-bar/
