I was told to put attention on the part of the body where you feel it. Forget the thought focus on the feeling and focus on where it is in the body. Somehow that’s supposed to make it go away and it does work. The key is letting go of the thought for a little bit. I hope that helps.

Focus your awareness on the feeling, rather than trying to block it out or distract from it.
