Very true, but people rarely care about absolute poverty in the sense of necessities. It's generally only the people who've experienced absolute poverty who appreciate the modern standard of living. What the rest of us care about is relative poverty.

If you care about relative poverty: if you live in a rich country you are very probably already top 10% in global relative wealth and income.
