Uhm. Oktoberfest starta September 16th. Who is larping?
If you are in it for the beer, Oktoberfest is not a must. Only six brands of beer - those that historically brew from Munich water - are selling there. Those are also the breweries that dominate the wonderful Biergärten, so no big variety there neither. But there are bars that specialize in offering more brands and types and of course you can visit breweries. Andechs monastery - been there on Saturday - is beautiful but there is probably hundreds of breweries of all sizes that offer tours.
But "Weißwurst" should not be eaten with a "Helles", it should be eaten with an "Weizenbier". Anyway, enjoy it! Regards from the Rhön (just 120km away from Frankfurt).
Hmm. I didn't know that. I have room for improvement then. Nostoberfest 2024 can't come soon enough.
Don't tell me Nostoberfest 2023 is a thing. I'll be in Munich until first week of Oktoberfest. Sadly it's virtually impossible to get a seat in a tent on short notice. That said, if you want to organize Nostoberfest 2024, you have to get your reservations in January I think. On the day reservations open.
