I've spent 10 minutes trying to sign-in to Pubky and I can't figure it out 😂

Junk 🤦🏽‍♂️

Nah. Early.

To be fair I could post half a dozen Nostr apps that are very broken too.

You need an invite code, remember?

I thought you wanted to research the tech, not the try the beta?

Which is it?

Remember when i linked to the resources?

Reading only gets you so far. I learn best from hands on experience. I never read the toy instructions as a kid. Sorry.

Why does it say optional if it's needed?

Because whether a homeserver requires an invite code is independent.

Our homeserver does require invites because it provides hosting services at scale, and we have to manage resources.

It is like how some relays are paid.

Pubky Ring is just a keychain, it doesnt care which pubky app or homeserver you use.

Nevermind, clearly your goal is to pretend to care so you can look for more reasons to be disingenuous.

Eat a dick.

Yikes. That's not my goal at all, my dude. If you want feedback coming from someone that doesn't know anything about your protocol, I followed the onboarding and tapped on the sign-in area on the web app, the keyring app opens, and I get an error.

I was going to post that on Nostr, and I just happened to see your other note. It seemed like a golden opportunity to show how both protocols are broken. I laughed at the similarities.

The invite code is required for the pubky.app homeserver. Once you enter that it logs in immediately

I didnt ask you to test anything, else i would have provided an invite, right?

Muted.

Sounds good to me. I'll never give you the benefit of the doubt again. Good luck. You're really going to need it.

Nobody needs you, Derek

If I'd ever considered trying Pubky, I'm not now.

Jesus.

Lol, you have a really fragile ego. Derek is one of the most helpful dudes on this protocol. He tests all kinds of clients and promotes new apps all of the time.

Muted (mentally, I'm not a bitch)

Your bullshit detector needs work.

John, you have to grow up

Imagine... a builder who mutes all his users. That's not a protocol you can rely on. That's not a reliable foundation. I wouldn't trust him with a hammer and screw. That foundation is already suffering from concrete rot. Maybe you should work on your attitude and be kind to people. That's what you build for when you want to achieve something. You want people to come back when you build something for them. Not that the builder is suddenly unreachable. Creating clownworld 2.0, good luck with that. You've lost my attention.

Fucking moron lol

Oooof

Banned 😂🤣😂

Can you run your own home server? I dunno what the beta/invite thing is like but the whole infrastructure should be designed to be completely self-hostable.

Otherwise what's the point?

Guessing is not a form of learning.

I'd say that trial and error is a form of learning.

Yo!

John muted me after I asked him for an invite.

I just wanted to check it out, if it's better than Nostr like he says it is I'm interested.

I'm on bluesky and mastodon, sometimes I use the nostr:nprofile1qqsqlc933dxm7rs25s8u63eqnv4ynv6rrlz98drqal85tjst694adtqpp4mhxue69uhkummn9ekx7mqprdmhxue69uhkummnw3ez6ur4vgh8xetdd9ek7mpwv3jhvqfgh0t app so I can scroll through all 3 feeds at once.

If openvibe let me zap the nostr notes from the feed it would be my main nostr client.

It's actually a lot more stable than primal, never have issues with it crashing.

If pubkey is actually ok I think openvibe will add it to their app eventually.

Lol i was willing to give pubkey a shot. But watching dudes behavior I think i stick with nostr.
