Ecash doesn’t help for zapping. Primal on iOS only had NWC support in the Beta, they removed it for App Store Release 😠
perhaps you can say ecash may not solve primals problem on ios but it absolutely is a solution for zapping
plus is a platform ot client doesn't allow what you want then use something else
personally I think the primal wallet is lame as it has a soft kyc plus an apple tax

Minibits works for both sending and giving a person a fixed address for receiving zaps - using Android with Amethyst.

👀 NWC? Is that new?
Nothing extra to setup no (re NWC). Just having both Amethyst and Minibits apps installed means the flow looks ...exactly like this when zapping someone.
After clicking the zap icon and amount it loads my Minibits wallet, auto fills the amount and I press the 'pay now' button. Wait a second. I do have to go back to Amethyst manually and then I get to see see the zap counter update.
As long as I'm shilling Minibits (not paid sponsorship haha), the zap receive address is kyc-free. If you want a custom address name, it costs a very reasonable 500 sats. Minibits also gives you access to an ecash wallet if you haven't dipped your toe into that universe yet.

You have a choice if you run Primal on the browser. You can use Alby to Zap. But on the phone, I don’t know of a substitute. Curious to know.

#Amethyst is the way.
In Primal on Android you can configure it in the settings.
In Primal on iOS they have removed the option with the App Store release. I suppose it was in fear of Apple getting on their back (like Damus).

No news there its already known that matt O is doing things in his way. And his way tend to take and shake hands with a lot of suits that have plans for bitcoin. DID and those funkup company that will make sure bitcoin is well seal. Enjoy the gaslight.
In the end you have to accept that bitcoin is captured by nation state, that bitcoin is not mean for everyone.
