The prairies and Quebec have always had a contentious relationship with the federal government. Thankfully, the provinces still have a lot of power and are relearning how wield it.
Experience is teaching me a confederation > a republic in a technical sense.

Me too, but power never flows downwards peacefully. That’s the only part I think is sad. I have this feeling that suffering is coming.
