My old QNAP NAS device died on me and corrupted the harddrives in the process. As a result, the new QNAP device I've bought won't load the these drives.
A data recovery company is now working on my drives, and their services cost 3x the new device price.
Muh personal cloud. Muh sovereignty.
Make sure to implement a 3-2-1 backup plan for the new nas 💪

Easiest to begin with would be to get an external hdd leave it plugged into the nas and let it run automated backups.
