There are many models of bowls for matcha sold on Russian marketplaces, but very little matcha itself. I have no idea what Russians are doing with these bowls. Another paradox is that very few Japanese teapots for other types of tea are sold.
The situation looks like this: Russians buy a matcha bowl, get the cheapest Chinese matcha, brew it once, don’t like it, and then the matcha bowl turns into a dog food bowl. As for other Japanese teas, Russians generally don’t know about them and aren’t interested at all.
