I’m not sure what the cure is?
Dismantling of Canada's state funded "media" would be a start. Some will only begin to heal once the lies stop.
This would be a good first step. I’m afraid it might not be enough, as I believe that the majority of Canadians are apathetic and trusting to a fault. They’ve had it way too easy for far too long. It will take something drastic to wake them from their slumber.
Canadians got rugged by their institutions and are still largely in disbelief or even angry at those who point it out. It has created a discontinuity between the historic narrative of the country and what it is now which ties into their sense of self.
It's actually quite sad.
