you are definitely on an old release; the tab bar is different, the bookmark icon is now on top, the reel icon is dfferent... is this the version from zapstore? or where is that APK from?

Ffs.. canāt please yāall I guess. The thing is still in fuckin beta, canāt expect perfection! Of course media takes time to load when you are turbo scrolling, especially on Nostr.
Itās rough and thatās why we love to be here. Olas has mad potentialā been on it since the supper rough day 1 and it blows my mind every update. Besides, who actually scrolls that fast? š
It's not about pleasing me... It's about what we're up against. We are competing with Instagram. If we want to win we must demand performance that matches or exceeds the competition. I scroll that fast when I want to go back up to a post I saw earlier. I can't do that when I can't see where I'm at in the feed as I'm scrolling. Stop making excuses for subpar performance. I know it's a beta, that's precisely why I'm informing devs of an issue. You can't expect it to be fixed if you just accept it for it's flaws. If I recommend it to a friend and they have the same issue, guess what... they're uninstalling. That's going to make it even harder to compete as they're likely to never come back at least for a long time.
I mean.. fair point for sure. I just donāt care about competing with centralized shitfeeds. I donāt see it as a competition. Nostr is an open protocol that will (and already has) drastically improve with time and more users.
You are right that normies may uninstallā but who give a shit. Early Internet users didnāt expect perfection. Early Bitcoiners didnāt expect perfection. The normies who care about a minor scrolling issue will be back eventually.
Iāve had plenty of friends come and go-- just accept it. The real ones are here now. Everyone will be here eventually. Nostr will win just as Bitcoin does. Itās game theory.
