Bitcoin. Games. Shakespeare. You love to see it.

Part of me thinks, “wow this is awesome”, and part of me thinks, “interesting way to get robbed”. I mean, I like the idea I just wonder about the negative side potentially.
You could play a game with a total value of any amount though.
Yes the total deployed sats is set by the host, and the host distributes the join hunt code to trusted players.
The next update will also make the join hunt code less vulnerable to brute force attacks.
I’m working on anti-cheat updates for potential gps-spoofing and other ways bad actors may find a way to join an invite-only hunt and steal sats
Any particular scenario you have in mind that we should mitigate for?
One concern that popped into my head was the safety side of it, like what if someone sets up a high-value reward for a location and then mugs whoever shows up. If you’re into Bitcoin, you’re kind of advertising that you might be worth targeting.
That said, I really do like the idea. It sounds fun, and I’d honestly love to join a hunt or even run one myself. I guess this is just the cynical part of my brain going, “wait a second…”
I appreciate your scenario and feedback. I see what you’re saying and I’m not sure how to mitigate wrench attacks short of staying strapped 😓😅😖

Ideally you’re only joining hunts that you trust. Maybe it’s a conference sponsor or a local bitcoin business or a meetup organizer. Since currently the process of the host sharing the join hunt code with potential players only happens off the app privately.
I don’t foresee fully public hunts that anyone can host and join where the hunt codes for active hunts are displayed on the website or anything like that…
As a brick and mortar business, this interests me. It wants location settings, anyone know how I can turn those on inside keychat?
Still waiting on an LN craps table.
I wonder if anyone already tried my online gaming NIP.
These games are getting super fun.

I came up with the game mechanic on paper to play tic tac toe on a tie-fighter style board. I vibe coded this one that works in a 2d form but could not crack the 3d version with my tools. Soon!
