Voting is deliberate consent to the outcome, explicitly granting your sanction to the status quo and the system of threats and force against you and others that back it up.

It is difficult to argue against the injustices stemming from the people ruling over you when you have participated in and perpetuated the very thing that gives them oxygen.

I agree in principle but also disagree 😁

It’s complicated. There can be circumstances where you better vote. If you are alone and only have to watch yourself its easy.

But having a family, a wife, parents, … you gotta decide if your own decision to „let go“ of the current system might not be disadvantageous for them. 🤷‍♂️

If one feels the desire to vote, then they should vote for independents at the very least, or cease voting altogether. As I had mentioned, it's only because it strengthens the stranglehold on the people who "vote" for these selected individuals that are pushed by both sides of the fake aisle.

Large scale voting does not work because all votes - even if you agree with most - are a compromise on everything else you value. For example, why should the people you love be subjected to war.. though to be fair, some people are proud to send their children to the front line. In any case, even those people accepted all vote outcomes because it was "democracy".

Vote with your wallet, vote with your feet, nothing else. If people don't like where they're living, they should go elsewhere instead of complaining with no action.

While I share your sentiment I don't think it is fair argument. If the local mafia gave you a mechanism that might make the mafia in one irrelevant circumstance better fit your prefference you might as well use it.

Every vote counts…..towards your ultimate demise.

What alternative did you have in mind?
