Without a (very untrustworthy) algorithm to surface content Nostr should still work fine as people reply to some note and the conversation pops up on our feed again and again.
If clients are showing "replies" but only root posts that capability is lost (I don't have any client in mind as I write this, by the way).
Could you allow everyone to create his own msg filter, and even allow people to share their Filters?
