i play guitar, mandolin, and some woodwinds. But… lets say ive had some exposure to music.

i know some people who can pick up any instrument and be reasonably proficient in a week. so im just ok.
Ok is better than not ok 😅. All of my kids have had lessons at some point. While my older (boys) resent me for it, I’m hoping one day they’ll be glad for the push I not so gently gave them.
IMO, it stays in there. those neural pathways don’t go away, and give you a creative thinking advantage for the rest of your life. plus, they dont know it yet, but playing an instrument well is um… well it helps you with girls.
I agree that there’s is an exponent that is super beneficial to the noggin’!
