All of the clothing is amazing. I saw an interview clip where Sanada spoke about helping the younger actors with the language; think of a Japanese equivalent of Shakespeare.
The intricacy of this armour is absolutely incredible.
Pictured here is Hiroyuki Sanada playing “Torunaga” in Shogun - James Clavell’s epic which fictionalised the real period where “Ieyasu” unified Japan and became the Shogun.
Have not watched the show yet, but Sanada is one of the best actors in the world, and certainly one of the best in Japan.
I hope it does justice to the book.
