9/10 times when I get into an argument with someone with whom it seems we're mostly aligned on everything, it becomes obvious after not long that they believe in god and I don't.

And it's always an irreconcilable disagreement. because while the real-world implications of the subtle disagreement may be minor enough to just let it go, practically, the metaphysical implication is **huge for them** so they can't just agree to disagree.

Their faith often requires something like a crusade to "save others" or set the world "right", which is fundamentally incompatible with liberty and voluntaryism. If they don't impose their views on others, they're not meeting their own _personal_ spiritual goals - this messy intertwining breaks the clean sovereignty of individuals. It doesn't respect the NAP.

"In order for me to do right by myself and my god, I **must** effect you". In this way, the evangelical is not unlike communists or other totalitarians.
