For interoperability between clients. It’s a required field in the NIP-99 spec; otherwise clients would have to filter for tags/categories in order to know not to expect a location, and tags aren’t standardized.

Oh I see thanks for pointing out the NIP: Maybe then is a good idea to offer the "Anywhere" location

Also I want to remark that I love (and thank you) what you are building, is a great iniciative, and this is why I am so eager to offer feedback

We’ll get an “Anywhere” or “Global” location added. It would probably be good to add regional locations as well.
