Replying to Avatar Traust

So my 4 Antminer S9 arrived today. Very exciting. I unpacked them and tried mining for the first time ever, and it worked. I am amazed!

First miner seems to have one dead hashboard. It mined on 2 boards for like a minute, then died. Fans still ran but i could not find it,

Second one was a sucsess! Ran smooth after about 10 min and mined for about 1 hour.

Tomorrow i will try and Get braiiins OS on them, so i can control input/output.

And check to see if the other 2 work.

Very cool! That said, these machines are quite inefficient at around 3 kW for 9 TH/s.

What made you choose these?

The 3kW will mean running 3 machines downclocked to 1000W and delivering 1Thz/100W, so im hoping ill Get 30thz.

This is a test of sorts. The machines Are cheap and easy to get, thats why i choose them.

I wanted to make sure i was able to figure out everything before i invested alot of money.

As they will just replace existing energy consuption, the efficiency is of lesser significance.
