This is exactly why it needs to be removed. It competes with zap, big time. It might be painful posting into a black, empty void at the beginning because we're so used to this fake dopamine. If you want to see me, see me with value.

We’re gonna keep having this argument.

REMEMBER… #BITCO …

Whatever. Can you tell me who has received the most zaps ⚡️ ever? My thought is it’s nostr:npub1sg6plzptd64u62a878hep2kev88swjh3tw00gjsfl8f237lmu63q0uf63mnostr:npub1ttc8j3sx59d4vs0zt23r6p90fjcd040x3vgu4j68u44ydx8u4rzqkxm0da we’re gonna find out

I note with full expectation of it going long into the dark abyss.

Twitter and Facebook has rewired our brains so badly, completely reshaping how we think about social interactions.

This is true! But if there was zero interaction - whether in the form of likes, zaps, or comments, this platform would fail miserably. It is social media after all.

One must face (and post into) the void with confidence

No reason whatsoever to not have both.

Remove the like button. Even a zap of one Satoshi could be acceptable. Differentiate Nostr from the others.

HOW WILL WE FIND THOSE SPEAKING IN THE VOID? Genuinely?

Wouldn’t the zaps show the same as likes?

Most ideas are useless, not because we’re uncreative, but because deep thinking is hard. Social media rewards speed and volume, not depth, creating a flood of half-baked thoughts that feel profound but are quickly forgotten. We’re blissfully unaware of how little value most of our ideas actually have, and the constant dopamine hits from likes and shares keep us from questioning whether we’re adding to the noise.

I feel that with NOSTR we can for the first time croudsource ideas in a new and testable way and actually bring value to social media again.

Nah.
