if the private TX cryptography was broken, only the total amount that was converted from public => private that can exit from private => public and therefore the supply impact is limited

I'm not a maxi by definition. I use fiat, BTC and Monero.

Less scalable (centralizes faster from node requirement PoV), less liquid, less accepted, opaque supply, easier to 51% attack, tiny bit of inflation but it's forever, private but recorded on a public blockchain (private + ephemeral/offchain would be ideal), ring sigs for sender privacy are vulnerable to statistical analysis, syncing and 20min lock is annoying
