Make sure you don’t have Japanese and Chinese in your list of preferred languages in iOS settings.

Still not translates. Does it should be only 'English' in 'preferred lang list'? I have no 'chinese' or 'japanese' listed there.

Could you please share screenshots of the following? (1) iOS preferred languages settings (2) iOS settings for Damus (3) in-app Damus settings, specifically the Translations section.

We figured it out. Needed to sign up for an API account and add the DeepL API key in Damus settings.
