Normalizing the hard stuff has it’s issues.
You could totally do it but then you have to accept staying niche and declining into extinction.
Unlike bitcoin, nostr infrastructure has cost. People are not going to maintain anything long term without at least covering their expenses. The best way to cover these expenses is to scale to a point where economies of scale are in your favor.
Without being self-sufficient and maybe profitable, you risk low morale from developers which I’m sure everyone understands is not good.
As a niche thing you’d also be limited in the types of conversations happening in the space. You’d have a perpetual echo chamber that people would tire of eventually.
People also get bored and Leave. Growth is required to replenish conversation, without which you go into a death spiral.
Luckily, nostr doesn’t have to be done in any one way. You can have clients that normalize the hard stuff and others that are newcomer-friendly. In fact, you can’t stop it from happening - the beauty of this protocol. nostr:note1tf49aft9da80dyxms6ltdmtsex6m65ggc6n2s6mknk90aaevkgtqy7quyp
