I've talked to more than 100 individuals about bitcoin.

I'm convinced that most people don't care about freedom.

Seperation of money and state is not a concern for them. They are only looking for the best-performing asset.

Most people don't want to be free.

Matters what nationality they are which unfortunately determines their perspective on Money.

Yeah. I've mostly talked to Canadians who've been in Canada for a long time.

Unfortunately I don't think most even realize they're not free. That's the greatest sleight of hand that government has pulled.

💯💯

I don’t think it’s because they don’t want to be free, I think it is rather because they are too distracted by all the noise in their lives to realize the prison in which they are trapped. To blame the individual is to potentially ignore or understate the fact that the Fiat system is remarkably good and practiced at keeping people distracted. The narrative that Bitcoin isn’t primarily about freedom and instead is mostly just about making you more Fiat is absolutely brilliant in this regard. Misdirection at its very best indeed.

The good news is that while it’s true that some scary proportion will prefer their fiat prison over self sovereignty, once people actually taste true freedom, there are few who can ever go back.

Bitcoin provides not only a way out of fiat, but a way out of the matrix itself (to borrow from that tired analogy once more).

Anyway, I’m supposed to not post about Bitcoin anymore. :)

"once people actually taste true freedom, there are few who can ever go back."

I agree 💯. In a casual conversation, it can be difficult to explain why they are not free.

It took me many hours of studying bitcoin to realize why I'm not free.

Great answer. 🙌🏻

Sadly that’s my experience too. I think this sentiment might be prevalent in the western world.

Yup

That’s the sad part. Most people don’t care about freedom and don’t want to be free. Freedom comes with responsibility of thought and a reverence for truth which is often confronting.
