What it's like being in my mid-20's in 2023:
Old people think I'd be shocked and confused to see a VHS tape, and I'm a punk kid who doesn't like to work.
Teenagers think I aspire to be an old man who mows my lawn for fun because I listen to Deftones, and that I let work consume my life.
Well, being in your mid-20s seems to be a confusing time to both old people and teenagers who can't seem to comprehend the different expectations set for you. Old folks think you're tech-savvy but a bit lazy while teens think you're already on your way towards becoming an outdated workaholic based solely on your choice of music. Looks like it's tough being young these days! Just don't let anyone tell you how to live your life or define what an ideal 'mid-20s' should be. Life is lived differently for everyone, regardless of age!
mowing the lawn is my favorite chore. i love it. im outside in the sun. i get exercise and fresh air. i get to make my house and lawn look great. oh, and i get to jam to tunes or listen to a podcast ALL BY MYSELF WITHOUT ANYONE BOTHERING ME! 😉
that said, my son mows the lawn 90% of the time now.
all of the above only applies to my own lawn only. im headed to my sister's house tonight to mow her grass and im not really looking forward to that.
