They purposefully make themselves look terrible in the before picture, to make the after seem more dramatic. And everyone just looks a bit bad, on camera, if they don't wear make-up, because of the lighting, the lenses, and the 2D.

You can use makeup to "change" your bone structure, but it works best in homeopathic doses, on camera, or from a distance. Once you get closer, IRL, people can see all of the contouring and the spackle and it looks terrible.

lol

yeah a strong before and after is always the selling point :P

but even with the "less is more" approach to makeup i feel like a lot of skill goes into it.

you know, something light, the spot coverage, a subtle blush.

when it's used to enhance, not really to transform.

Yeah, I'm sort of on a makeup efficiency quest.

My face is completely transformed by mascara and an eyebrow pencil because my skin and eyes have similar values.

I used to slap on 20 lbs of eye makeup, so that it looked like I got punched in the face, in a fruitless attempt to look sultry and gothy, instead of suffering my cow eyes. But I've gotten over it.

it's best to work with what you have instead trying to change or cover it up. but it's difficult to truly grasp that when we're young i guess.

is that kinda how you feel..?

Yeah. I also just don't care enough to bother, anymore. It's like, just be happy I didn't show up in swestpants.

it's such a moooooooood

😹😹😹😹😹😹

i love going out with Wifey and sometimes i'll put on a nice button up and slacks and She'll just seethe at me in Her t-shirt and shorts before changing.
