I am orienting toward looking at acquiring fairly new pre-owned compact SUV. The question is what maker and model?

Hyundai Kona is a nice choice.

Thank you, for the suggestion. It looks nice. Will look into it.

I enjoyed my 2019 before I moved to Australia and back. It was perfect for my needs.

Nice! Was that electric?

I had the gas only model, but there is a hybrid.

Sweet. Would you say it's big enough for the occasional car camping? Or escape from apocalypse car camping?

It's a micro-SUV, so it's bigger than what many use, but smaller than a full size. It really depends on your tolerance for headspace. I say, go check one out. Many are happy with Subaru conversions, but it's an individual thing. I really enjoyed it.

I was looking at an impreza my friend was selling this summer... Ultimately decided it was too small.. and I wouldn't car camp in it should I want or need to. But Subaru has definitely been making notice in my awareness.

I just got a Kia Sorento. I can recommend. If possible 2024 as it got a nice facelift. Where I live they have v6 trim not the turbo ones like in the US.

The first choice was Honda CR-V, I eben made a non refundable booking. But after test driving both I didn't hesitate to move to the Kia.

Mazda CX-5/3 are good bets. Good deals on used Mitsubishi Outlander PHEVs. Reliable and cheap to run but handles like a pig.

We enjoy VW Tiguan. Might not be SUV “enough” tho

We like VW Tiguan. Maybe not suv “enough “ tho?

Some predict an auto industry crash in 2025. May save a boatload if your patient.

But then again it may no happen

I am looking into mid Jan since I have a vehicle till then. another may pop up too. What time we taking in 2025? Cultivating deeper patience is certainly a focus at present. What should I be looking for indicating this crash?

You can’t go wrong with Honda or Toyota. The HRV is a nice subSUV

His underlying point is that there is a massive overstock of innovatory and more production is still in effect.

With all these brand new vehicles not moving and sitting on lots, as well as companies functioning at a near loss. There’s going to be a break sooner or later.

Time line ..? I donno. I can’t predict the future. Buy a vehicle when it’s right for you.

Knowledge is power! Use it how it benefits you.

BYD seal IF AFTER electric and in southern world

Ooops ATTO NOT SEAL. BUT EXPENSIVE ATM

Toyota all day.

We drive a subaru ascent. Checks all the boxes for us.

What’s your price range?
