Political litmus tests are getting easier and easier for me.
You either believe and legislate in a way that supports, promotes, and makes human flourishing easier, or you do the opposite.
Bitcoin is also a litmus test for these same leaders—one of the greatest tools we have ever seen that promotes human flourishing.
We have many leaders today telling us they are against Bitcoin, and they’re telling us exactly why! It gives them less control, it competes with the USD global reserve status and all the manipulative powers that entails.
We’ve seen slight, but increasing bipartisan support for Bitcoin (yes and crypto) in Congress. An old guard to new guard approach. In the long run I do believe this is much more generational than political party, while today is still stands than far more in the left wing than the right are against Bitcoin. That’s just the truth.
But I don’t care what you label me at this point, the progressive wing that was against the patriot act and actually cared about pragmatic solutions is the minority and many have left politics. I’m trying to appeal to progressive/democratic voters, whereas I have little faith in the party “leaders.” Some may change, as we’re seeing, but many won’t.
Anyway, end rant. Gm!
