i don't really think that opting out of politics is the right way to go. Bitcoin is a tool that can help us wrench control of our governments from the Marxist central planners and have it start serving the people. Bitcoin does not remove government, it helps us fix it. If you opt out of giving a shit or participating in the process then you are missing an opportunity to help bitcoin fix it.

A #bitcoin rant

I appreciate your/this perspective and generally agree. I think politics cares about you even if you don't care about politics.

But humbly, I think in time politics will generally become obsolete. And it takes people's awareness that taking their money out of a broken system impossible with bitcoin, it's a paradigm, a world changing revolutionary action. I think speaking to freedom and sharing ideas of freedom for all is caring about politics.

Opting out isn't not caring, it's caring enough to end authoritarianism and oppression worldwide.

It's a vague statement. What I mean too by opt out of politics is to take your money out of a corrupt system. And own money that no one can debase and or spend arbitrarily to fund corruption. TLDR: I think bitcoin is world changing in ways that are difficult to perceive, a multi faceted revolutionary trojan horse.

Opt out is meant to be thought provoking. To bring people to study bitcoin. Could bitcoin take government out of peoples lives in this way? How?

Bitcoin defunds authoritarianism. Most of the oppressive laws are imposed on people by governments with too much power (endless power) and because the government has control and influence by way of dictating markets, controlling and dictating social structures/society.

This is more obvious in outright communist countries and dictatorships. It's a worldwide problem. It's everywhere, including America. And authoritarianism, communism flourishes on conditioning and confusion; control of information and society. It's beneficial to keep a corrupt system in place if people believe it's ok or even actively support the corrupt system and or they don't realize they are in said system.

I think consensus/ law will be codified. And individual liberty, freedom and voluntary cooperation will be proliferate worldwide when money cannot be in politics. It's tough to imagine. I think the ability for humans to leave places where they are treated poorly can and will change the world. And it's unstoppable, bitcoin as a tool for freedom is unstoppable, and the desire to be free, for human rights and to escape war and oppression is unstoppable.

I think oppression by government in really any sense will be unprofitable and untenable. I wont be voting to decide how you should act or for what you should do. A vote wont decide what is available to purchase or what people are allowed to produce.

I try to stay on points that might be considered controversial to the average unbeknownst statist. While prying at the idea that some political figure, some authority shouldn't be telling you what to do. And they shouldn't be manipulating free markets.

It's a vague statement. What I mean by opt out of politics is to take your money out of a corrupt system. And own money that no one can debase and spend arbitrarily to fund corruption. TLDR: I think bitcoin is a trojan horse in many ways.

Politics is designed to be divisive. People are compelled to take sides on issues they care about most while disregarding other important issues. For example, does she care about abortion or the economy? Opinions are passionately shared while corruption proliferates behind the scenes.

In my opinion many choices made for the individual by the government should be no one's choice other than the individual. And most of these choices will be impossible to enforce on a bitcoin standard.

It's impossible to see what will happen exactly of course. But central banking and at least most of large government will become obsolete. It is the time scale that is unknown.

So when there is news of a politicians subsidizing garbage food or electric cars, trying to ban travel or gas stoves, government/corporate corruption etc.. "opt out of politics, study bitcoin" isnt not giving a shit, it is taking your money out of the system and into bitcoin which defunds governments and associated artificial/imposed markets worldwide. While also saving yourself from debt slavery; your money from being arbitrarily debased, and other risks all over the world like criminals and or banks.

Governments need citizens for money. And people want to go where they are treated best or at least how they would like to be treated. Bitcoin gives people unprecedented freedom of movement while defunding governments because they cant print bitcoin.

I see bitcoin as a multifaceted trojan horse. It's the best money, it's borderless secure and unstoppable payments. People can move where they want easier than ever before thanks to bitcoin.

So opting out for some people might be moving out of the american south. For some people it might be leaving a third world country. And for some people it might be moving into the american south. Or maybe el Salvador or another emerging land, maybe that's returning home for them.

Some people wont like this. They feel passionate that humanity, people should do what they believe is right. As the saying goes, bitcoin is money for enemies.

Mistakes are a necessary, irreplaceable part of learning. Learning something like fire is hot cannot always come from being told. Discovery and error correction is important for progress.

In my view, this means people who voluntarily organize in ways that are unhealthy and not good for the well being of themselves or others will not benefit from those choices.

Especially in the beginning, before societies advance, people who don't learn the importance of healthy behavior, the importance of ethical mutually beneficial human action and voluntary cooperation will choose to organize in ways that they will not benefit from. And there wont be other parts of society forced to support and perpetuate that behavior so some people can capitalize on human degrading, societally detrimental behavior.

Of course some people will seize the opportunity of unethical markets. But they will not be successful over time. The healthy behavior will grow stronger and more desirable in a free market.

People may see this as fantasy or wishful thinking, i think mostly because it is so foreign. It's hard to imagine in today's world people choosing no war or healthy food being prevalent.

Bitcoin changes so much. For example, moving around the world with your savings being invisible, with no physical encumbrance. It's hard to imagine how that changes human action/interaction. A lot of danger disappears. Many attack vectors from governments or humans you might have to pass by or interact with disappears.

This to me is where it gets really good, when people can really vote with their feet and live in line with their ideals not by forcing others but by voluntarily organizing.

And in that world, where unstoppable free markets exist around the world, merit wins. Providing value including ethical ways of life and great human rights will prevail. And again I think with bitcoin this is inevitable and unstoppable. And no one gets to dictate that, no amount of propaganda, no conditioned majority. No group gets to decide.

Prosperity will be emergent while the entire world prospers on the baseline, so there wont be suffering on today's scale and there will be voluntary cooperation and abundance.

I like something Saifedean has said: everyone is free to think what they want but they are not everyone is free from the consequences of those thoughts.

I dont know how it will turn out of course. But this is based on conversations ive listened to playing this out and my own person opinions i see voluntary human action leading to a better world.

Found this podcast interesting a few years back. There are many others that touch on these subjects. Of course Max's orange pill podcast and Saifedean's podcasts. Saylor and Breedlove's series. Some of Breedlove's "What is money?" podcast.

Not saying my opinions are perfectly in line with theirs and maybe some of their thoughts and opinions changed. But I remember this conversation being interesting and touching on #bitcoin and decentralized revolution.
