What do ya mean, the option?

I don’t get it

So the option that ledger has to recover your seed phrase.

On ledger it's an option

On bitkey this is how it works So Cash App or coin base holds one of those keys.

To get your keys. Ledger allows you to get your physical singlesig seed phrase, BitKey does not.

I do not think BitKey is ‘just like ledger’, it’s a totally different model. BitKey uses a 3 key multisig, and keeps one of them on their server. You keep the other two, one on your mobile, the another on your Bitcoin rock.

Ledger can store your entire singlesig key, and if required by law, can hand it over. BitKey only keeps one of the three keys, and shouldn’t be able to ever have access to your sats…
