GM.
Thank you for sharing 🫡
thank you! Added to my reading list!
I think I'm going to let you read that, and give me the TLDR. 😂 Also, good morning brother 🫡🫂💜
The elections in Germany tomorrow could be interesting.
So Germany has, as expected, swung to the right but will it make a difference I wonder. Only time will tell.
Reading your book in hardback, even though you blocked me on X. So far, it's both less academic and more detailed in some areas than other books on the subject. I'm enjoying it.
Just read this for the first time but I get the impression he's geniuinly surprised that the us is not willing to keep financing Ukraine and other military spending in Europe
The us doesn't seem to have the industrial capacity (a la Luke gromen) to support a war effort there so I'm surprised he's surprised we can't really keep the spending up? Or is he too fixated on the fiat dollar amount being spent and assumed that since we have a money printer we could finance it forever?
Is that what you sip with your coffee, nostr:npub1d3f4m9dgvkdjxn26pqzsxn6lpfn78sxwllxyt8mp76q0a9zyyjlswhr4xv? Explains much.
Yes
Thanks for sharing this, Larry.
My two sats (TL;DR):
The author comes across as decidedly left-biased, very anti-Trump/pro-Europe, and excessively bearish on both the economy and risk assets.
Yeah Doug’s politics are messed up but he has had a clear understanding of how the money has been abused for 53 years
Well said. He seems like a sharp guy.
I should add that, as a fund manager, I appreciate reading rational points of view from every angle… not just those that I agree with.
I find this to be straight false. "To be sure, the international view of U.S. global leadership has taken a dreadful turn for the worse."
If we view the fiat world order as collapsing under the weight of US largesse and fraud and money printing, then any attempt at fiscal responsibility and cleaning house would improve the view, not worsen it.
Wasn't the whole premise of BRICS "If you, the US, want to play silly games with currency debasement then that is your prerogative, but just don't expect us to keep using the USD."
I have no horse in the race, but I think the statement doesn't track.
Dear Lawrence,
Thank you 🙏
Also, I’m 🤬 that X is not getting you access to your account.
Also taking note that I won’t use Calendly or Zoom anymore, goodness gracious.
Doing my part of posting to X Support to get them to assist.
Sending you best regards!
