forums are dead
We need more people creating and curating content on forums. Reddit has become awful, but https://chorus.community is a great decentralized alternative.
If Chorus isn’t your thing, I’d love to know why? What’s it missing? What could make it better?
Discussion
Reddit is still incredibly popular.
No doubt anytime I really wanna know what’s going on with something that’s where I go first
So I looked into this and it is growing due to search traffic and auto translations in international markets. In US the main audience is young adult men 18-28 (makes sense). Low women users, low teen. Teens prefer short video format. X is mostly an adult platform, teens leaving. Facebook is for grandma.
What is not known is how much of Reddit growth has anything to do with popularity of communities vs simply pushing users into the app and accessing wider markets through translations.
My burnout theory holds as I mostly speak to people my age who have aged out of Reddit because we are not whiny little children anymore.
