I have and I completely agree with you. It’s not “easy” to create a piece of art with AI. It’s like any other art form, it takes work, practice, and a level of expertise to create something that moves people. This is what I’m trying to figure out for myself. Why do I place a higher value on human generated artwork than AI? Should I? Why does it matter? I’ve always been of the school of thought, if it moves me in some way, anyway, than it has value to me. But, now I find myself asking should it, especially when it comes to portraits of humans.

But it shouldn't change. The painter is interpreting the subject with their brushes, canvas, and paint. They are taking their experiences and using those to reflect their interpretations of the world back to me. The same could be said of the "prompter" or AI artist, so it shouldn't matter to me, but for some reason it does.
