Feeling truly blessed to have found this network.

The fact that I can ask almost any question and receive instant answers from ppl who not only possess extensive knowledge, but also share a similar perspective on current global affairs is something I deeply value..

Gratitude to all of you.. the open-source builders, researchers, privacy advocates, memers..

I always thought that being sovereign meant to "go it alone" to not "depend" on anyone, to build a life without any points of failure. Since joining this network my defintion has changed. My family comes first, and then the next most important thing for me is community; a community that is more than the sum of its parts. A community that has a purpose that is far greater than any one individual. I too am thankful.

For me , sovereignty means that you have the capacity to tell x or y to go fuck themselves and weather the consequences .

Yes, to live without dependency on anyone, or anything for your suvival. I agree with that. However, I have come to realize that service to a community/purpose, the connections you form and the dependency on each other for the succes of community's goals, is an aspect that I had ignored.

"I will take care of me for you, if you will take care of you for me"

Deal 🫂.

Your sovrereignty comes from the Sovreign himself, the Lord. You've never been alone.

Can you explain this further? How does the lord provide sovereignty? If he bequeaths it, does he not have the power to take it back, thereby negating the sovereignty he has granted.

your life was granted and will be returned to the Lord .

If you have life, then the Creator gave it to you. If he gave it to you, then no lesser being can take it from you. This is the right to life.

This right is further confirmed by the Creator's law that no one should murder. You therefore have the right to defend your life.

This is sovereignty on the earthly, horizontal plane (between men); but we have no sovereignty on the vertical plane (between man and his Creator) -- because He alone is sovereign in that relationship.

Thank you for the clarification. It was never clear to me how one who follows the teachings of Jesus Christ could claim to be sovereign, but as you explain, sovereignty between men (earthly plane) is different than the sovereignty between man and the lord (which does not, and can not exist)

in america we have codified it as (man) is endowed with unalienable rights from the Lord ie sovereignty of sorts. life, liberty, property.
