The iPhone 16 also used aluminum

Only the pros went from titanium to aluminum for thermal management at the expense of looks.

iPhone 17 is definitely a big improvement from 16 with 120hz refresh rate, bigger screen, much better ceramic glass, much 8 more hours of battery. and better selfie and rear cameras.

The pros while better performing look less premium than the titanium from the last 2 years.

The Air with the titanium frame and super thin design is the rich people now

Good info!

I have yet to check out the air. Curious to see it. I can't imagine it's remotely safe to rock without a case though, which would make me sad I think, the thing being so slim without one

Surprisingly enough it’s a super strong phone because of the titanium, and the new glass is a lot more scratch resistant.

Great phone if you don’t care about only having one camera.

I just went to see them lol the quality is not there

Yeah who buys just the 16 or the xr lol

All the base iPhones have have used aluminum since the iPhone 5

It’s lame the Pros went to Aluminum tho, the titanium looked nice

At the iPhone 17 price point there really aren’t better options with regards to materials, unless you get an older version of a flagship model, or go up and get a Google or Samsung flagship

Hence my point, iPhone 17 is shit

It’s better than every previous base iPhone and it’s better or equivalent to its competitors in the same price range.

If you meant the 17 Pros, then yeah the material change is unfortunate from an aesthetics pov

Shit materials and shit performance. Thanks Apple
