So what? You get what you can afford.

People need a dry warm place to sleep, hang out when the weather is bad, they need a place to cook and store food, and they need a hygienic way to shit and shower. You won't find true contentment until you've experienced what it's like to have everything you need and not one thing more. People that need large indoor spaces for comfort are decadent and unhealthy.

Innovation to solve a societal problem, tiny homes are great in that aspect. But normalizing them as trendy and a better thing than regular homes is simply normalizing a bigger lifestyle for some and a smaller lifestyle for the many.
