A new Coldcard every other year? Man, that's a lot of digital hardware in the landfill? Aren't the updates supposed to keep you safe over time?

Each hardware/chip generation can only go so far. Let alone security upgrades that require hardware change. Secure Elements are constantly being improved.

My role is to build the best I can with each generation.

there is only so much silicon in the world

🤣

i'm talking about building a new nation from the ground up and you are giving me ignorant and trite answers

That's because you talking, not building. Talk is cheap.

you belong in #tardstr

i swear every new idiot comes along and does no research into what i've been saying or what i'm showing to prove it

Yes. That makes sense and is logical. I love your products NVK. Keep building, we need it.

Its a load of crap man.

Educate yourself on what self custody is.

It isn't a secure element...

What is your solution to self custody?

I don't store my seeds on digital hardware.

I only store my seeds on steel.

How you generate those seeds is up to you, but I use the bip39 word list printed out & cut up in a jar, mixed up & randomly picked.

Then use your preferred HWW to generate & export the xpub, I prefer a seedsigner that you build yourself.

If I use a HWW that stores the seed, like the CuckCard, I wipe the device after this process is done.

I import the seed when a TX needs to be signed.
