I tried the Nostrudel alpha PWA (next.nostrudel.ninja) with Amber.

It is a bit funky with the app switching and requiring the clipboard permission to paste the signed event but IMO a great development and much better than bringing your nsec to random apps.

I hope soon with Amber + NWC / Bitcoin Connect people can get a native nostr client experience on any PWA.

Can there be something similar to Amber for iOS?

I don't know if you can do this is ios.

Maybe nostr:npub1xtscya34g58tk0z605fvr788k263gsu6cy9x0mhnm87echrgufzsevkk5s knows

I don’t believe so

Oh i thought amber did something automatically in the background. That sounds clunky if you have to switch apps to sign something. You can of course do this on iOS but the experience would be pretty bad copying and pasting back and forth. I would much rather have a bluetooth hardware signing device or something.

It's works in background when the user chooses the remember my choice option.

With this it's uses android content resolvers to share data in background.

But this only works for Android apps. Web apps can't do this

Ah ok - that’s a shame. But the app switching is pretty quick and automatic, it’s not too bad really!

The app switching and clipboard part feels kind of hacky... but it works. although there are a few tweaks I can do to make it a little smoother.

It would be cool to see Amber on IOS. although it would be cooler to have a NFC/Bluetooth/USB signing device that worked with mobile
