I feel like it’s similar also with crypto/stablecoins vs bitcoin. In the short term they somehow work well enough that people want to use them and build infrastructure around them. 😞
I think it takes time to compete for the network effect. People want to post where they have the most impact, I think
What would you do with 25 vms? Build vibecoded apps in a sandboxed environment?
Do you mean, they exclusively use self-custody wallets?
Couldn’t you compare an Ark wallet to something like Phoenix where users are stuck with a single LSP? I don’t agree with the roach motel idea. It’s much easier to accumulate and then exit versus providing all liquidity up front. Also, if users get censored and KYC’d the service will fail. There are some great developers working on Ark implementations, they aren’t building this to rugpull users…

I think this is when someone requests a very large invoice from your lightning address with probably no intention to actually pay it. I can see how it can be misleading and the copy of the email can be improved. We will look into it

Thanks! I deleted all the offline ones already but it’s hard to choose which other ones to delete, surely there must be more factors other than ping
I guess all the relevant metrics so I can choose a few good relays and get rid of all my unnecessary ones
Is there any Nostr microapp that reviews my current relay list (which has a lot of offline relays), and helps me remove the bad relays and/or suggests what I should do? #asknostr

I will check it out, thanks! I have a BTCPayServer, a Take My Sats store from nostr:nprofile1qqs2zqnq524z7zfdsh3vpwpwjh4vt7xxp6sec68y3xr3ndvve23ru0spz3mhxue69uhhyetvv9ujuerpd46hxtnfduq3vamnwvaz7tmwdaehgu3wv9a85ctdduhxuet5mrkdp7 and now possibly a third place to list, this will be a bit difficult for me to manage as it’s just a hobby and nothing serious 🤔
I guess I have to pick only one. But it’s great to have all the options available!
I now have 100 Satoshi tank tops. 100% cotton
Next challenge: how to market and actually sell them 🤣

Yes, give it a try and let us know what you think!
Also inventory seems a bit broken. I paid for a product but the inventory count is still the same. I could also add 3 items to my card when the inventory limit is 1
I also get "Please select an image file" when I try to update my store logo, even though it is a valid image
This is what we try to achieve with the 1-click connection flow. The app / subscription service can set the budget, permissions needed, etc, and then the user can see the details and only needs to click confirm and will be instantly redirected back to the app.
Then the app can pull up to the specified budget each month from the user's wallet.
Never mind found it, just had to do some digging in the github repo
https://github.com/nostr-protocol/nips/pull/1818
https://github.com/rolznz/nips/blob/feat/nip47-client-created-secret/47.md
Also we have some examples in the Alby JS SDK which might help.
Let me know if you have any questions!
Ah, we check the description hash first rather than the description. Would you like to do a PR to fix the check? https://github.com/getAlby/hub/blob/master/lnclient/phoenixd/phoenixd.go#L286
It only works with the embedded LDK node, not LND yet

I’m pretty sure it was working for a while after I updated to the latest versions (5.1.0 and 3.8.0 respectively), but now I’m getting this syntax error in the console. I tried reverting to previous versions with no luck.

Thanks for letting us know! The qrcode-generator library pushed a breaking change on a minor version update 😞 .
I will do a patch release in bitcoin-connect.
5% on tickets, 1% on donations. Ticket fees probably should be lower - I didn’t spend too much time thinking about it other than it should cover the reward payout routing fee (up to 1%)
