Over the past year, I’ve experienced a slow drift away from many of my oldest, dearest friends—all local to me. At the same time, I’ve grown very close to new friends I’ve made over the past 2-3 years—all Bitcoiners.

I don’t rejoice in the drift. It’s been heavy on my heart. But I’ve also come to acknowledge it as inevitable. Bitcoin clarifies and reorients priorities; even one’s entire life, as it has for me.

For this, I have profound gratitude.

Bitter sweet 💔🙏

Priorities change!

Indeed, they do.

Being honest in what you do, who you are and what you believe in comes with a cost of letting go of anything that was associated with the dishonest. We've all grown up in a world built on a dishonest foundation in the form of a broken money... hence, there's a lot we have to give up. It's not easy but it is necessary.

Well said. The situation I’m describing is much more subtle. These are good men, just different priorities.
