Yeah, I landed on the 6M is exaggerated, and the other deaths ignored or minimized. Couldn't really buy into much more of it

the main story of WW2 is socialism killed about 180 million people, who were civillians, and then idk how many more, maybe a few dozen? who were soldiers from everywhere, a lot of americans but they were the best equipped and probably had the lowest death rate of all nations as a result.

socialism is the real enemy. not nazism. nazism is a variant of socialism, that actually was the least lethal compared to russian and chinese socialism.

This has a good visual of the countries’ death counts

Yeah, I prob need to learn about the other deaths from that time period a bit more tbh. I gathered what you said above is closer to accurate but haven't looked into it myself yet

just keep in mind: whatever is said the most loudly, is probably the least true.

goebbells codified that insight:

“If you tell a lie big enough and keep repeating it, people will eventually come to believe it. The lie can be maintained only for such time as the State can shield the people from the political, economic and/or military consequences of the lie. It thus becomes vitally important for the State to use all of its powers to repress dissent, for the truth is the mortal enemy of the lie, and thus by extension, the truth is the greatest enemy of the State.”

the communists were more effective only because the places they rose to power were the people who were already the most cowed, and used to brutality.

the nazis and fascists were more effective at convincing people of shit. they took that tech and then used it to turn nationalism into a bogeyman and excuse communism, which is internationalist in nature.

the fascism worked more effectiveyl against cultures that were historically more industrious, precise and pedantic, and usually christian, where the communism worked better against people who were used to imperialistic, monarchist oppressive dynastic oligarchic type systems as you saw in russia, china and south asia, and as the americans got lulled into comfort from the extreme wealth born of their free market economy, they have been lured into communistic and fascistic (ie, blue and red) philosophies and the commies run the big cities and the fascists run the industrial/agricultural centers.

the americans had been turning the cities red for a long time. FDR was a major force in that in the 20th century, post WW1, and then it just kept getting worse as you go forward.

modern USA is like the borderland between germany and russia circa WW2 at this point, at most points on the map.

I've heard that The Gulag Archipelago is the book to read for that.

So you buy the gas chambers?

Watched an hour long thing debunking them which was pretty convincing. And a 1 hour vid interview with the famous "nazi grandma" (can't remember her name), and walked away thinking something is off, but not prepared to say they were effectively not used at all based on my shallow "research". Just left me with some skepticism.
